Specialization in Pain Medicine and Palliative Care

The Specialization in Pain Medicine and Palliative Care of the School of Medicine of Universidad de La Sabana aims to train specialists with high human and academic quality who are competent, ethical, and decisive, who meet the needs of those with chronic and progressive illnesses in order to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. It also seeks to train specialists able to work as a team and who create networks to propose solutions to physical, emotional, social and spiritual issues.

The program proposes that these specialists respond to the public health problem that the burden of chronic illnesses represents for the country. With the program’s alumni, the goal is to improve the quality of life of patients and their families and to use the system’s resources better in order to achieve equity in health care.

Medical rotations will take place at the different clinical practice sites.
