High Quality Institutional Accreditation issued by the Ministry of Education of Colombia

 

  • On March 31, 2017, the Ministry of Education of Colombia signed Resolution 06166, whereby the university was granted High Quality Institutional Accreditation renewal for eight (8) years.
     
  • On August 4, 2010, through Resolution No. 6700, La Sabana obtained High Quality Institutional Accreditation renewal until August 2016, which kept us within the small group of higher education institutions in the country with High Quality Accreditation.
     
  • To grant such accreditation, the Ministry of Education of Colombia relied on the recommendation given by the National Accreditation Council (CNA), following the report of the academic peer evaluators assigned. “La Universidad de La Sabana is an institution committed to quality”, the Resolution acknowledged.

The International School of Economics and Administrative Sciences obtained the international certification EOCCS - EFMD Online Certification System; on this occasion, for five courses focused on marketing: International Marketing, Global Fashion Marketing, Marketing Fundamentals, Marketing Management and E-Commerce and Internet Marketing. Universidad de La Sabana is the first university in Colombia to achieve this recognition.

Gastronomy:

The Gastronomy program at Universidad de La Sabana is an Official Member of the Aliance by Institut Paul Bocuse, France.

The Education Quality Accreditation Agency (EQUAA) awarded the "World Class Accredited" to the following programs: Specialization in Strategic Management , Specialization in Service Management , Specialization in International Financial Management, Specialization in Commercial Management, Specialization in Strategic Brand Management, Specialization in Logistics Management, Specialization in Operations & Production Management, Specialization in Corporate Finances and Specialization in Management for Human Development in the Organization.

CLAEP Accreditation

Social Communication and Journalism:

International Reaccreditation of the Latin American Council for the Accreditation of Education in Journalism, CLAEP 2015-2021. March 2009.

The CLAEP re-accredits the Social Communication and Journalism program internationally for 10 years. (October 2022).

Chemical Engineering:

International Accreditation by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc.).

AACSB accreditation certification, February 2020. for achieving the highest standard of quality assurance in business education and for demonstrating a sustained commitment to high quality and continuous improvement. Initial business accreditation.

Nursing:

In December 2020, the program began for the first time the process of International Accreditation through the Network of National Accreditation Agencies in the Mercosur Educational Sector, ARCU-SUR. After an evaluation of the corresponding processes, the National Accreditation Council (CAN) unanimously granted the International Accreditation of the Nursing program for a period of six years.

Clínica Universidad de La Sabana

The Clínica Universidad de La Sabana received for the second time the highest international accreditation by CARF, Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, thanks to the continuous improvement of its Interdisciplinary Rehabilitation Process (PIR®), focused on the care of the person from its biological, psychological and social aspects.

Since 2015 the Clinic has this accreditation in the process of physical rehabilitation and positioned itself as the first institution certified in this discipline in Colombia.

School of Medicine

The School of Medicine, through the Simulated Hospital, has AHA (American Heart Association) Accreditation for BLS, ACLS, HSaver and PEARS courses.
