Research Group in Agroindustrial Processes (GIPA)

Description:

For more than 15 years, GIPA has been working on the search for beneficial properties of biological materials and on the improvement of productive processes applied to the country’s floriculture, food and cosmetic industry; obtaining several patents and utility models. It has worked with important companies such as Zenú, Food Team, Alpina, Casa Luker, Ceniflores and Asocolflores, ACTA, among others. The group has more than 15 researchers, pilot plants laboratories devoted to the development of new technologies, biofuels production, and improvement of products and agro industrial processes; research laboratories for the analysis and improvement of physical properties, testing and microbiological characterization, for the benefit of the agricultural and food sector.
