Doctoral degree in Nursing

The main goal of the Doctoral degree in Nursing is to train autonomous researchers with critical and reflective thinking, as well as high human and ethical qualities, capable of generating and managing research projects and programs intended to expand the knowledge in nursing and transfer it to practice through partnerships with different sectors related to the healthcare field.

This program is distinguished by its emphasis on generating nursing knowledge to transfer it to practice and thus offering solutions and have a positive impact on the healthcare of individuals, families, and communities; as such, research projects focus mainly on the development of nursing interventions to address priority healthcare problems based on scientific evidence, nursing models and theories.

The research lines of this program are, the promotion of health and well-being and the theory and quality of nursing care. Collaborative work with recognized academic networks and interdisciplinarity will enhance the leadership of strategic processes to make the nursing contribution visible in people's healthcare.
