Specialization in Critical Care Medicine and Intensive Care

The program aims to train skilled specialists with scientific competence in Critical and Intensive Care Medicine with an informed interest in research, leadership abilities and solid foundations in ethical and humanistic principles. These professionals can act accordingly in the treatment of patients with life-threatening diseases and who require permanent monitoring or therapeutic intervention. Besides, they are capable of designing scenarios for dealing with such morbidity and, with tools to undertake, question and lead the new performance modes aligned with the General Health Social Security System in our country.  All of this framed in a permanent process of research and following a humanitarian approach to terminal patients.

The specialization is intended for General Practitioners: Length: 4 years; Specialists in Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Obstetrics-Gynecology, and Emergency Medicine: Length: 2 years.

Full-time program and night rotations.

This program is taught on Campus, at Puente del Común, Km. 7, Autopista Norte de Bogotá. Chía, Cundinamarca, Colombia

Medical rotations will take place at the different clinical practice sites.
