Specialization in Pediatrics

The Specialization in Pediatrics at Universidad de La Sabana aims to train pediatricians who will respond in their professional practice and in their social behavior to some ideals of life inspired by the Christian vision of man and the world. This is achieved by conducting basic teaching, research and social projection activities aimed at structuring the triad (intelligence, will, and sensitivity) of the pediatrician. All this based on bioethical principles for the humanistic practice of pediatrics, the problem solving capacity to offer viable alternatives to the dilemmas posed by the pediatric disease, and the improvement of life quality in respect to the environment where the pediatrician is practicing, either regional, national or international, with emphasis on the promotion of health and the prevention of disease, without underestimating the suitability for high-complexity care.
