The School has embedded in the curriculum content, tools, and methodologies including problem and challenge-based learning. Therefore, EICEA hosts several corporate challenges and open innovation exercises. Some examples include:

  • Logistics 4.0 Challenge Experience: The School launched an open innovation exercise along with the Ministry of Transport, ProColombia, Bogotá’s Cluster on Logistics and Transportation, the Colombian E-commerce Chamber and RAPE -represents 60% of Bogota’s food supplies- in which students provided solutions and prototypes to 3 different challenges. 
  • Disrupticon Challenge included 110 participants, three corporate challenges and one social innovation challenge. The event included the methodology of focus market in which the best market solution is selected.  The event was open to national and international participation with several students from Germany attending. 
  • Muuhack, an open innovation and experiential learning activity in which participants provided ideas and solutions to contribute to the development of the value chain of the dairy sector in Colombia. EICEA organized the challenge with Asoleche, the national Dairy Association; and INNpulsa Colombia, the innovation and entrepreneurship government agency. This challenge lasted one week, included 7 webinars, 28 pitches, 35 mentors (9 from Mexico, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Argentina and Spain) and had 135 participants (8 international students from Mexico and Spain).
