Virtual Exchange Program

This program is for students from partner universities who wish to to take 1 or 2 on-line/remote courses** at La Sabana . The application for this program must be submitted by the International Relations Office of the home institution. Applications submitted directly by students will not be considered.

  • La Sabana application form (signed). Click here to download the form.  Please attach one picture to the form.
    • IMPORTANT:Applications that do not include the subjects for approval in the "Study Plan Proposal" section of the application form, will not be processed. Please keep in mind that, in most of the cases, international students are exempt from the subjects' pre-requisites. Therefore, do not take them into account when selecting the subjects you wish to register at La Sabana.
  • Copy of the biographical page of passport or National ID
  • Official transcripts. If in a language different from Spanish and English attach a sworn translation.
  • Spanish Language:
    • If Spanish is not your first language and you want to enroll in Spanish Taught classes, a Spanish language proficiency level of B2 (CEFR) is required in accordance with La Sabana language Study Abroad and Exchange entry Language Scores.
    • Spanish proficiency should be certified by you Language Department and/or Language Center and/or Spanish tutor with a minimum level of B2 (CEFR).
  • English Language:
    • If English is not your first language and you want to enroll in English Taught Classes, a English Language proficiency level of B2 (CEFR) is required in accordance with La Sabana language Study Abroad and Exchange entry Language Scores.
    • English proficiency should be certified by an International Assessment Test and/or your Home University Language Department.
    • List of Minimum Entry Language Scores:
      • B2 (CEFR).
      • TOEFL iBT: 72 (overall).
      • IELTS: 5.0 (overall).
      • TOEIC: 400 (overall).
      • FCE Pass.
      • Home University Language Department certification with B2 (CEFR).

  1. Contact your International Office - Exchange Department.
  2. Ask for internal requirements, documents and deadlines.
  3. Check the academic offer from La Sabana.
  4. Check required application documents.

Complete application Documents

  1. Complete your home university internal process.
  2. Complete all application documents.
  3. Submit your application to your International Office - Exchange Department.
  4. Your university will submit your nomination and application within La Sabana's deadlines.

Acceptance & Start of Academic Activities

  1. You must check your email; you will receive important information about the status of your application process.
  2. If you receive a positive response from the Universidad de La Sabana, you will receive an official acceptance letter. This document will contain important information regarding your exchange process.
  3. As an International Student at La Sabana you will have the following commitments and obligations:
    1. Assist to all orientation sessions organized by the Universidad de La Sabana.
    2. Attend all academic activities approved within the framework of your exchange program.
    3. Handle all required documents for your exchange.
