This semester, more than 100 foreign students are at Universidad de La Sabana in exchange programmes, professional practice programmes, medical practice, postgraduate studies and Spanish courses.
On the other hand, and according to the figures of the Colombian Network for the Internationalisation of Higher Education RCI, the Universidad de La Sabana is number one among Colombian universities for the number of students sent abroad to continue their studies. These figures were recently published by the "Credencial" magazine in its article "El mundo es un pañuelo, (It´s a small world)", which highlights the growth of internationalisation in Colombia.
The above mentioned facts are just an indicator of La Sabana´s pioneering role in the internationalisation model of Colombian universities.
More than 60 agreements and other strategies which are behind this development have enabled the university to carry out mobility programmes of students and teachers both in Colombia and abroad, as well as bilateral and multilateral cooperation agreements; research projects, courses, seminars, international academic tours and other academic initiatives.
Thus, La Sabana has multiple options that allow the university community to live the culture of internationalisation. At the same time, the university continues to grow as a university without frontiers, open to the world, and having the optimal conditions to host students and teachers of the international community.
